How did I become a globally recognized local marketing and paid traffic expert, Growing a 7-Figure Business Myself?

Let's travel back in time to my first "big girl" job back in 2011...


I was in school, working to finish my degree, and landed a job at a publishing house that focused on trade magazines for local businesses. I was HYPED to start writing, designing, and marketing, while helping the local businesses who needed it - something I had always had a passion for. Then, my boss asked me if I’d like to try my hand at selling advertising for a brand new magazine they were creating for local jewelry stores.


I thought that selling was the LAST thing I wanted to do. It just wasn’t in my nature. But, after hearing about the commission potential, I decided to give it a shot! Creating lead lists, prospecting, cold calling, follow up, upselling - it was totally foreign to me. But, I decided to give it my all and see what I could do.


I developed my own lead generation strategies using social media, compelling online sales scripts to drum up interest and overcome objections, and maximized my efforts using a CRM to sell prime advertising spots. And what do you know, I closed hundreds of thousands of dollars in sales in a short period of time and almost single-handedly launched a brand new magazine as a result.


But the craziest thing was, that despite my massive success using these methods, I was chastised by management for not doing things "the way they had always been done." I knew that social media was the future of marketing and sales, and was determined to hone these skills to make a greater impact in the lives of small business owners everywhere.


That eventually led me to become the marketing director of an 8-figure kitchen, bath and remodeling business, where I stayed for the next 5 years. It was there that I truly learned the inner workings of local businesses and the many problems they faced with marketing, customer acquisition, and sales.


I made it my mission to not only create highly effective marketing strategies that drove leads but to remove the disconnect between marketing and sales, allowing more leads to convert into paying customers that could be easily tracked back to my marketing campaigns.


In 2018, I decided to start Allie Bloyd Media to use my marketing AND sales expertise to help other small businesses grow by 7 figures and beyond, just as I had in my previous positions.


My sales savvy and first-hand experience working in local businesses has given me an edge that most marketers don't have. I don't only how to bring in leads, I know what you need to do to close them, and how to pinpoint the internal processes that are preventing true growth from being accomplished.
